Now the artistic universe of Cirque du Soleil is captured in a two-hour performance special, Cirque du Soleil: Flowers in the Desert, an extraordinary entertainment experience that is part of special programming premiering on PBS, check your local station for dates and times.

Cirque du Soleil: Flowers in the Desert explores a garden of exotic flowers growing in the Nevada desert. Flowers open to reveal rich, imaginative worlds within, and as we enter one of these worlds, a Cirque show begins. This transformation provides our entry into and exit from the different worlds created by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. Behind the scenes interviews and backstage footage allow the viewers to explore the creative process behind the performances.

From the 20 or so performers the company featured when it all began in 1984, Quebec-based Cirque du Soleil has become a leading provider of quality entertainment with more than 5,000 employees, including 1,200 artists who hail from some 50 different countries.
